At 13:00 hrs. Mr. Tharit Pengdit, Secretary-General of the Center for the Administration of Peace and Order (CAPO), briefed the press on the outcome of the meeting of the CAPO earlier in the day, gist as follows:
 
The CAPO wished to reiterate its responsibility as a body to uphold peace and order in Bangkok and the metropolitan area. Regarding the confrontation and the shooting of M79 bomb at the Anti-Corruption Office on 24 March, the CAPO has been following the case closely, and urged all relevant parties to take further action against those who committed the wrong-doings. Yesterday, the metropolitan police has arrested four men who were allegedly involved with molesting Pra Prad Supavirut, a Buddhist monk.  Preliminary investigations had been conducted on the motive and gesture of the incidence. Pra Prad Supavirut has also testified that he also hit these men with the cane as well.
 
The CAPO reaffirmed that it will continue the process of investigation and prosecution against actions of members of the PDRC that had violated the law in various occasions particularly the elections obstructions. Following the arrest of Mr. Wiwat Yodprasith, known as popcorn gunman, who fired gunshots at Laksi Intersection, the CAPO would like to confirm evidences have shown that Mr. Wiwat committed a wrong-doing.
 
Following the case against Mr. Suthep Thaugsuban, and 58 leaders of the People's Democratic Reform Committee (PDRC) who have violated the law and caused difficulties for the public by instigating the protesters, the CAPO wished to inform that the due date for these individuals to hearing their allegation has passed. The CAPO had recommended the investigation officers to extend the time period for one week, so these will give opportunity for Mr. Suthep and 58 PDRC leaders to present themselves to and hear their allegations from investigation officers. Otherwise, the investigation officers will be presented to the Attorney General for further actions. a today, Mr. Sathid Phitudecha, one of the 58 PDRC leaders, has presented himself to an investigation officer, to hear his allegation.
