On 25 February 2014, the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Ho Chi Minh City in collaboration with Ho Chi Minh City Television (HTV) organized a press conference  under the theme “Vietnam-Thailand One Heart to AEC” to launch the documentary on Thailand-Vietnam Relations at the HTV Building. The aforesaid event was co-presided over by Mr. Nguyen Quy Hoa, Director-General of HTV, and              Mr. Nuttavudh Photisaro, Deputy Permanent Secretary for Foreign Affairs of Thailand. 

     The documentary is an initiative of the Royal Thai Consulate-General to commemorate the elevation of the bilateral relations between Vietnam and Thailand to the level of “Strategic Partnership” which was officially announced during the visit to Thailand of H.E. Mr. Nguyen Phu Trong, Secretary-General of the Communist Party of Vietnam in June 2013 as well as to promote better understanding between the two countries in light of the ASEAN integration in 2015.  The documentary – a set of ten-minute episodes - emphasizes on the people-to-people contacts that serve as a solid foundation for the deepening relations between the two countries, as well as news coverage on the bilateral relations in various dimension, such as exchange of high-level visits and charity programmes by Thai agencies in Vietnam.  With the kind assistance of HTV and Let’s Viet VTC9, the documentary is scheduled to air on HTV4 and VTC9 starting in March 2014.
