     On 17 February 2014, H.E. Ambassador Manasvi Srisodapol, Deputy Permanent Secretary, Acting Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand, hosted a luncheon to welcome the students and volunteers under Australian Thai Youth Ambassador Programme (ATYAP) visiting Thailand organized by the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Sydney, at Royal Thai Army Club (Vibhavadi).  The group of the volunteers and students who participated in the programme were high potential young leaders of the Australian society. During the visit to Thailand from 23 January - 14 February 2014, they conducted English classes for Thai students in 7 primary schools in Khon Kaen province and also had the opportunity to perform charitable and cultural activities during their stay in Thailand. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs hosted this luncheon to welcome and give an importance to them since this kind of programme would lay a good foundation to deepen the people to people relations between Thailand and Australia.  The distinguished guests who were invited to the luncheon were H.E. Mr. James Wise, Australian Ambassador to Thailand, H.E. Mr. Biravij Suwanpradhes, Ambassador attached to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand and his spouse, Ms. Pattrawan Vechasart, Deputy Director-General of the Department of American and South Pacific Affairs, Ms. Patcharee Poompachati, Director of South Pacific Affairs Division, the Department of American and South Pacific Affairs, and Mr. Damrit Viriyakul, Regional Editor in Chief of Thairath newspaper.
