            On 25 December 2013, H.E. Mr. Pham Binh Minh, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam presented the “Friendship Order” together with the official certificate signed by the President of Vietnam to H.E. Mr. Anuson Chinvanno, Ambassador of Thailand to Vietnam. The high-level officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Royal Thai Embassy were in attendance. The ceremony was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam.

            In the citation, it is highlighted that the Ambassador played a major role in advancing Vietnam and Thailand bilateral relations to the level of Strategic Partnership, promoted high-level visits by leaders of both countries and facilitated the successful official visit to Thailand by H.E. Mr. Nguyen Phu Trong, General Secretary of the Standing Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam in June 2013. During the said visit, the General Secretary and H.E. Miss Yingluck Shinawatra, Prime Minister of Thailand agreed to elevate the bilateral relations to the level of Strategic Partnership.  After the citation, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs presented the “Friendship Order”, the certificate and a flower bouquet to congratulate the Ambassador of Thailand.
