Mr. Prachuab Chiyasan, President of Thailand-Vietnam Friendship Association together with Thailand-Vietnam Friendship Association delegation of 11 people paid a visit to Vietnam to hold a joint meeting between the Vietnam-Thailand Friendship Association and Thailand-Vietnam Friendship Association as well as to participate in the 4^th Congress of the Vietnam-Thailand Friendship Association during 2-5 December 2013. The Royal Thai Embassy in Hanoi also invited a dance troupe from the College of Dramatic Arts, Bunditpanasilpa Institute to perform in the 4^th Congress.

During the visit, Mr. Prachuab Chiyasan paid courtesy calls to H.E. Mr. Pham Binh Minh, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, H.E. Mr. Bui Van Thang, Chairman of the People’s Committee of Ninh Binh Province and held consultation with Mr. Nguyen Huu Hong, Chairman of Vietnam-Thailand Friendship Association of Hanoi to discuss the roles of Thailand-Vietnam Friendship Association in promoting and strengthening the relations between the two countries as well as enhancing people-to-people contacts after the bilateral relations between Vietnam and Thailand has been elevated to the level of “Strategic Partnership” during the official visit to Thailand of H.E. Mr. Nguyen Phu Trong, General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam in June this year.

Mr. Prachuab Chiyasan and his delegation also attended the Birthday Anniversary Reception of H.M. King Bhumibol Adulyadej of Thailand and H.E. Mr. Anuson Chinvanno, Ambassador of Thailand also hosted a dinner in honour of Mr. Prachuab Chiyasan and his delegation.
