The delegation of the Young Ambassadors of Virtue, comprising five students and a teacher, made one study visit to Indonesia from 2 to 9 November 2013. Being selected from students and teachers across the country by the Young Ambassadors of Virtue Foundation, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand, they are from the provinces of KhonKaen, NakornNayok, Ayudhya, Phitsanulok, and SuphanBuri. The purpose of the visit is to expand their knowledge and vision on Indonesia which is  Thailand’sneighbouring country and a member of ASEAN as well as to promote people-to-people relations with Indonesia.

While in Indonesia, they were staying at the residence of the Thai Ambassador to Indonesia and had opportunities to learn about the works of the Royal Thai Embassy (Jakarta) and the Permanent Mission of Thailand to ASEAN. They also learned history as well aspolitical, cultural and socio-economic conditions of Indonesia including relationship between Thailand and Indonesia through visits to many important placesin Jakarta and nearby citiesincluding ASEAN Secretariat, the National Museum, the Presidential Palace, the Istiqlal(National) Mosque, the Puppet Museum, the Museum of Asia-Africa Conference (Bandung), the Stamp Museum and the Taman Mini (Miniature Park), the Taman Safari (Bogor), andthe Buddha MettaArama Temple.

In addition, the Young Ambassadors of Virtue met and exchanged  knowledgeand cultural performances with the Thai students in Jakarta at the Royal Thai Embassy, and also with the Indonesian students at the SMP N 58 Junior High School in Jakarta.
