During 28 – 30 October 2013, Mr. Panu Uthairat, Chief of Inspector General, Ministry of Interior of Thailand, along with government representatives from the authorities concerned, i.e. Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Immigration Bureau, National Security Council, and Southern Border Provinces Administrative Center (SBPAC), conducted site visits on the biometric identification system to enhance immigration and border control in Singapore and Malaysia. On this occasion, the delegation paid a courtesy call on H.E. Mr. Marut Jitpatima, Ambassador of Thailand to Singapore, to discuss the enhancement of border control cooperation between Thailand and Malaysia, with reference to the current system and cooperation between Malaysia and Singapore.
