The Honourable Lyonchhen Tshering Tobgay, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Bhutan, is scheduled to pay an Official Visit to the Kingdom of Thailand during 13-16 November 2013.

This is the first Official Visit to Thailand of the Prime Minister of Bhutan since the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries on 14th November 1992. The Prime Minister of Bhutan and Her Excellency Ms. Yingluck Shinawatra, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Thailand will hold discussions on the 14th November 2013 which also marks the 24th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations. The discussions
will focus on ways to enhance bilateral ties and cooperation in all areas of mutual interest including trade and investment, tourism and technical cooperation. 

The two Prime Ministers will also witness the signing of the Agreement on Trade and Economic Cooperation between the two countries. The Prime Minister of Bhutan has also kindly accepted the invitation of the Prime Minister of Thailand to attend the “Bangkok Dialogue on the Rule of Law: Investing in the Rule of Law, Justice, and Security for the Post-2015 Development Agenda” on 15th November 2013.
