On 8 March 2013, Consul General Jesda Katavetin presented the Consulate General's certificates to 22 Thai engineers and architects to recognize their outstanding contribution to the Thai community in Southern California. For many years, they have donated professional services to make construction projects of different Thai Buddhist temples within and around Los Angeles possible.

A dinner in honor of the 22 engineers and architects was also hosted at the Consul General's residence to provide an opportunity for them to network with each other who are in the same professions.
