On this occasion, Ambassador Tasanawadee Miancharoen has also given a sum of 10,000 RON to support the projects of the Association.

Touched Romania Volunteer Project was established in 2002 to care for basic needs of abandoned newborns in hospitals in Bucharest. Nowadays, Touched Romania Association aims to transform the lives of abandoned children and vulnerable mothers who faced with family difficulties by offering basic needs, social assistance and educational support, helping to find responsible foster families for abandoned children, building opportunity for better future for these mothers and children to ensure their smooth integration back into the community.

The above-mentioned projects and support are in line with the Royal Thai Government’s national agenda for human rights.  As a member of the Human Rights Council (UNHRC) in  2010 – 2013, Thailand is committed to advancing the cause of human rights at the national and international levels including  the equal status and basic rights such as health and education of vulnerable groups including children and women. Thailand will continue to cooperate with all countries to promote and protect the rights of women and children in compliance with all relevant international instruments in the global arena to achieve this aim.
