On 20 May 2011, Mr. Teerakun Niyom, Permanent Secretary for Foreign Affairs, received the donation of 31,493,887.18 baht from Mr. Pravit Maleenont, Managing Director of Thai Television Broadcast Channel 3, to assist victims in Japan, whereby the said donation will be sent to the Japanese Red Cross by the Royal Thai Embassy in Tokyo in due time. Mr. Seili Kojima, Ambassador of Japan to Thailand was also present at the ceremony, held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
