On 1 - 3 December 2025, H.E. Mrs. Suphanvasa Chotikajan Tang, Ambassador of Thailand to Denmark, in her capacity as representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, led the Thai delegation to the 3rd Advisory Centre Operationalization (AC-OP) Meeting, held in Paris, France. The meeting serves as a forum to discuss operationalization issues concerning the establishment of the Advisory Centre on International Investment Dispute Resolution.

The Ambassador reaffirmed Thailand’s readiness and capacity to host the headquarters of the Advisory Centre on International Investment Dispute Resolution. Her presentation illustrated Thailand’s vision and its constructive role in the operationalization of the Advisory Centre, as well as highlighted Thailand’s commitment to its establishment since 2017. Recommendations from this meeting will be presented to the UNCITRAL Commission in June - July 2026, which is expected to make a decision regarding the location of the Advisory Centre. Eight countries have expressed their interest in hosting the Advisory Centre: Armenia, Côte d’Ivoire, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Egypt, France, Ghana, Morocco, and Thailand.

If Thailand was selected to host the headquarters of the Advisory Centre, Bangkok would be reinforced as a hub for international and regional organisations. It would strengthen confidence of foreign investors, attract skilled talent to the Thai economy and serve as a testament to Thailand’s proactive diplomacy that brings long-term benefits for the country and the Thai people.
