On 13 January 2020, Ambassador Morakot Sriswasdi presented to H.E. Mr. Lukáš Parízek, State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic, a copy of the Letters of Credence accrediting her as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Slovak Republic, with residence in Vienna. 

On this occasion, Ambassador Morakot and State Secretary Parízek reaffirmed the cordial relations between Thailand and Slovakia. Both sides acknowledged the high potential for economic, trade, and investment relations between the two countries and agreed to join efforts to realize such potential through various projects/activities, including exchanges of visits between business people of the two countries. 

Ambassador Morakot also congratulated Slovakia for her successful chairmanship of the Organization for Co-operation and Security in Europe (OSCE) in 2019 as well as expressed Thailand’s readiness to work with Slovakia as the chair of the OSCE Asian Partners for Cooperation Group this year.
