On 30 October 2025, the Royal Thai Embassy in Vientiane organized a merit-making ceremony in dedication to Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, The Queen Mother, on the occasion of the seventh day following Her Majesty’s passing. The ceremony took place at Ong Teu Voramahawihan Temple, with Venerable Phouangprasert Poumavong, the Abbot of Ong Teu Voramahawihan Temple and the Director of Ong Teu Sangha College, presiding over the religious observance. Ms. Jirasaya Birananda, Chargé d’Affaires a.i., officials of the Embassy and Team Thailand, together with their spouses, as well as members of the Thai and Lao communities, also attended the ceremony.
