Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs stresses Thailand’s proposition for peaceful conflict settlement and readiness to provide humanitarian assistance to Ukraine

On 2 July 2024, H.E. Mr. Russ Jalichandra, Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs, received a telephone call from H.E. Mr. Mykola Tochytskyi, Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, to discuss ways to promote bilateral relations between Thailand and Ukraine, as well as discussed global issues.

Both sides exchanged views to enhance political and economic cooperation and discussed the situation in Ukraine, during which the Thai side emphasized the importance of upholding the United Nations Charter, international law, principles of sovereignty and the territorial integrity of Ukraine, as well as the peaceful settlement of conflicts by all parties concerned and Thailand’s role in providing humanitarian assistance to Ukraine.

On this occasion, H.E. Mr. Mykola Tochytskyi also expressed appreciation for Thailand and the Vice Minister’s participation in the Summit on Peace in Ukraine held earlier on 15-16 June.
