Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs signs the Condolence Book following the Flash Floods and Landslides in Nepal

On 3 September 2026, H.E. Mr. Sarun Charoensuwan, Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs, on behalf of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, signed the condolence book following the flash floods and landslides in Nepal at the Embassy of Nepal in Bangkok. He was received by H.E. Mr. Dhan Bahadur Oli, Ambassador of Nepal to Thailand.
 
The Vice Minister expressed his deepest condolences over the loss of lives and damage inflicted by the disaster, and reaffirmed Thailand’s readiness to assist Nepal in relief efforts, post-disaster recovery, and capacity-building for future disaster prevention.
 
The Ambassador expressed appreciation to Thailand and briefed the Vice Minister on the latest situation, noting that the number of casualties and missing persons continues to rise, with more than 1,200 people reported dead and over 4,000 still missing.
