Both sides expressed satisfaction to the close and long-standing relations between the people of Thailand and Viet Nam, including those between journalists who have had exchanges of visits throughout the years, which have now resumed normalcy after the Covid-19 outbreak. They also agreed that current social context and technological advancement have expedited the pace of news reporting, but with less fact and validity check. In this regard, there has been a need for quality main media, together with a close cooperation with government, to help screening contents and accuracy of the news.

As Viet Nam will commemorate 100 years of Press Day next year, there will be a wide range of activities in various areas and sectors, and the Vietnamese side wishes to extend invitation to the Thai media to participate, as well as the Thai side to send cultural groups, including sports, music and arts to visit Viet Nam during the said occasion, which will help foster the relations between the two countries.
