On 22 July 2024, H.E. Mr. Russ Jalichandra, Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs met with Mr. Israel Katz, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Israel, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Israel, to exchange views on conflict in the Middle East, especially in Gaza, and to seek further support on the release of 6 Thai hostages held in Gaza. The Israeli Foreign Minister reassured that the release of all hostages has always been a top priority for Israel.
Both sides also congratulated the commemoration of 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries this year and discussed cooperation on potential aspects, including labour, education, agriculture, construction, among others.
