On 13 February 2026, H.E. Mr. Vijavat Isarabhakdi, Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs, held discussions with Mr. Wouter van Wersch, Executive Vice President for International Affairs of Airbus SE, on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference 2026 in Munich, Germany.

Both sides expressed their commitment to promoting cooperation in civil aviation, military aircraft, air services and maintenance, as well as training and human resource development for Thailand. In addition, Airbus SE has initiated cooperation with the Thai private sector on the production of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) and expressed support for the Thailand - European Union Free Trade Agreement (FTA) negotiations.
