On 30 May 2022, H.E. Mr. Marek Libřický, Ambassador of the Czech Republic to Thailand paid a courtesy call on H.E. Mr. Vijavat Isarabhakdi, Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs to bid farewell on the completion of his term.

On this occasion, both sides discussed the bilateral relations between Thailand and the Czech Republic, including key developments during Ambassador Libřický's tenure, especially the official visit to Thailand of the Prime Minister of the Czech Republic in 2019, which was the first visit to Thailand by a sitting Prime Minister of the Czech Republic since the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries. Both sides also discussed economic cooperation and sports diplomacy, as well as exchanged views on ways to enhance cooperation under the EU Strategy for Cooperation in the Indo-Pacific and the priorities of the Czech Republic during the forthcoming Czech Presidency of the Council of the European Union in July - December 2022.
