On 17 March 2026, H.E. Mr. Vijavat Isarabhakdi, Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs, attended the celebration of Ireland’s St. Patrick’s Day and National Day at Anantara Siam Bangkok.
 
The Vice Foreign Minister delivered remarks highlighting the strong and longstanding relations between Thailand and Ireland, built on over 51 years of cooperation across trade, economic, educational, digital, and technological fields. He also highlighted the successful co-hosting of the inaugural Thailand - Ireland Forum: Advancing Technology and Digital Partnership in Bangkok in 2025. He also underscored key areas of collaboration, including Thailand’s efforts to join the OECD, support for negotiations on the Thailand - EU Free Trade Agreement, as well as opportunities to further expand mutually beneficial cooperation in other sectors in the future.
