On 9 October 2025, the Royal Thai Embassy organised the “Volunteering to Promote Thai Culture and Create Happiness for Japanese Youth” activity at Tokyo Metropolitan Shinagawa Special Needs School to commemorate His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great Memorial Day, 13 October 2024, as well as King Chulalongkorn Memorial Day, 23 October 2023.  H.E. Mr. Witchu Vejjajiva, Ambassador of Thailand to Japan, led officials and staff of the Royal Thai Embassy, members of Team Thailand, together with their families in organising cultural and recreational activities for Japanese youth, totaling approximately 120 persons.

Activities comprised an introduction to Thailand and a Q&A session, games, and the teaching of Thai songs, which helped promote a better understanding about Thailand and Thai culture among Japanese youth as well as their physical and mental health. The activities also helped enhance the cordial relations between the Royal Thai Embassy, the local communities and Shinagawa City.
