On 7 September 2026, Mr. Chulvat Narinthrangura, Director-General of the Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA), met with H.E. Mr. Diego Arango Pezet, Ambassador of the Republic of Panama to Thailand, on the occasion of his assumption of office.

Both sides exchanged views on priority areas of cooperation to be incorporated into the new Three-Year Thailand–Panama Development Cooperation Programme for 2027–2029. They also discussed the preparation of a draft MoU on Development Cooperation between Thailand and Panama, which will serve as a framework for development cooperation between the two countries.

The two sides also discussed cooperation in human resource development. The Director-General provided the Ambassador with information on the Annual International Training Course (AITC) and the Thailand International Postgraduate Programme (TIPP) scholarships.
