On 25 December 2024, Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA), Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand, represented by Mr. Paisan Ruapanitchakit, Deputy Permanent Secretary for Foreign Affairs, handed over medical supplies and medicines worth 5,000,000 Baht to Mae Hong Son Provincial Public Health Department, which is part of the initiatives under Thailand-Myanmar Public Health Development Cooperation Plan.
The ceremony was witnessed by senior officials from relevant agencies including H.E. Mr. Dusit Manapan, Advisor to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Chuchip Pongchai, Governor of Mae Hong Son Province, Ms. Pinsuda Jayanama, Director-General of the Department of International Organization and Mrs. Pimwadee Sovaratanapong, Deputy Director-General and Acting Director-General of TICA.
The implementation of this project serves as a pilot initiative to propel forward development diplomacy in addressing borderless public health challenges which requires cooperation from all parties in the strengthening of accessible healthcare systems and the quality of life improvement for the people of the two countries.
