The Royal Thai Embassy in Doha together with Thai community in Qatar organised a donation drive for Afghan refugees currently seeking temporary shelter in Qatar as part of the Royal Initiative Volunteer Project. The Embassy had collected and sorted hundreds of donated items from Thai community in Qatar ranging from clothes, toiletries, hygiene items, stationary, toys and other goods during 19 - 22 September 2021. On 27 September 2021, H.E. Mr. Nathapol Khantahiran, Ambassador of Thailand to the State of Qatar, together with Embassy officials handed over donated items to representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Qatar at Park View Villas housing facility for Afghan refugees in Qatar which was initially built as a residential complex for the 2022 World Cup.
