Mrs. Krongkanit Rakcharoen, Director-General of the Department of European Affairs, co-chaired the 1st Thai-Belarusian Political Consultations on 17 July 2024, in Minsk, the Republic of Belarus, with Mr. Dmitry Mironchik, Director of the Directorate for Asia, Africa and Latin America, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus. ​On this occasion, both sides discussed ways to promote bilateral cooperation in potential areas, including trade, investment, tourism and sports. The Thai side reaffirmed its readiness to start negotiations on the Free Trade Agreement (FTA) with the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) and sought Belarus’s support on this matter.
