On 27 January 2020, H.E. Mr. Chairat Sirivat, Consul General of Thailand to Dubai, together with representatives of Team Thailand offices in the UAE, i.e., the Royal Thai Embassy in Abu Dhabi, the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Dubai, Thai Trade Center, Dubai Office, Tourism Authority of Thailand, Dubai and Middle East Office, and SCG International Middle East DMCC, led by officers from Index Creative Village, PCL (an organizer of Thailand Pavilion) and EXPO2020, paid a visit to Thailand Pavilion at EXPO2020 Dubai site to follow up on the progress of the Pavilion’s construction and other architectural works. On this occasion, the Thai delegation also visited a Sustainability Pavilion “Terra,” which is one of the three thematic pavilions of the EXPO2020 and open for preview for the general public between 22 January – 10 April 2021.

In terms of construction progress, the main infrastructure of Thailand Pavilion has been completed. Other architectural and interior works are scheduled to be finished by September 2021 and be ready for the official opening of EXPO2020 Dubai during 1 October 2021 – 31 March 2022.
