On 22 April 2021, Thailand Board of Investment Paris Office, one of Team Thailand representatives in Italy, hosted a Webinar on “Opportunities in Thailand for the Italian Medical and Healthcare Value Chain” with an aim to promote Thailand as a regional medical hub to Italian investors. H.E. Mr. Chirdchu Raktabur, Ambassador of Thailand to Italy and H.E. Mr. Lorenzo Galanti, Ambassador of Italy to Thailand, were invited to give opening remarks. Other invited speakers from Thai Food and Drugs Administration, Ministry of Public Health, Medical and Health Device Manufacturers Industry Club (MeDIC), the Federation of Thai Industries, including an Italian company in Thailand were also present. The Webinar was a good opportunity for Thailand and Italy to exchange views and explore the possibilities to expand bilateral cooperation on medical industry and healthcare services.
