Thailand Foundation Hosted the First Expatriate Orientation Program (EOP)

On April 26 – 27, 2022, Thailand Foundation hosted the first-ever Expatriate Orientation Program (EOP) at the Siam Society Under Royal Patronage in Bangkok. The event aimed to provide a deeper understanding of Thailand, the Thai people, and the values of Thainess to participants. Sessions included: (1) Chris Cross Culture: When Thai Meets World by Mr. Christopher Wright; (2) Thailand in Historical Perspective by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dhiravat na Pombejra; (3) Access Thailand’s Regions Like the Locals by Mr. Jonas Anderson; (4) Thailand in the Global Value Chain by H.E. Ambassador Nongnuch Petcharatana and Dr. Cholachit Vorawangso Virakul; (5) Decoding Bangkok by Mr. Philip Cornwel-Smith; (6) How to Make Friends with Thai people by Mr. Teeranai Charuvastra ; (7) Experiencing Thai Cuisine with a Two-Star Michelin Chef by Chef Chumpol Jangprai

Participants included ambassadors, spouses of ambassadors, and representatives from private corporations, among others. The event was successfully convened with a great response of appreciation from participants, who paired the benefits gained and voiced their opinions that other expatriates living in Thailand should join the future program.
