On 31 July 2024, Ambassadors and Permanent Representatives of the Small Island Developing States (SIDS) to the United Nations in New York paid a study visit to Samutsakhon Hospital to learn about Thailand’s Universal Health Coverage scheme and healthcare services provided to migrant workers, demonstrating Thailand’s policies on health equity for all. The dignitaries also visited the Sirindhorn International Environmental Park located in Phetchaburi Province to learn about Thailand’s innovative approach to energy conservation and environmental management.

On 1 August 2024, the dignitaries visited the Royal Sea Farming And Aquaculture Demonstration Project Under The Initiatives Of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother to learn about marine animal farming and aquaculture demonstration projects and the Royal-initiated Laem Phak Bia Environmental Research and Development Project to observe eco-friendly methods for wastewater treatment and solid waste management.
