On 24 December 2025, H.E. Mr. Sarun Charoensuwan, Secretary to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, had a discussion with Ambassadors and representatives of the Embassies of Ireland, Italy, Belgium, the United Kingdom, and France in Bangkok.

They exchanged views on the Thailand - Cambodia border situation and latest updates, especially on the General Border Committee (GBC) meeting held first day on 24 December 2025. The Thai side outlined its perspectives and approach to managing the situation through both bilateral channels and the ASEAN frameworks, while reaffirming Thailand’s commitment to a sustainable peace. The Secretary to the Minister expressed Thailand’s readiness to engage constructively with external partners to help ease tensions and support efforts toward de-escalation and the cessation of all forms of confrontation.
