On 17 July 2024, H.E. Mr. Maris Sangiampongsa, Minister of Foreign Affairs, presided over an official opening ceremony of Sa Kaeo Passport Office. Also present were Mr. Worawoot Pongprapapant, Director-General of Department of Consular Affairs, Mr. Parinya Phothisat, Governor of Sa Kaeo Province, Mr. Ngor Mengchroun, Vice Governor of Ban Teay Meanchey Province, Mr. Keat Hol, Mayor of Poipet City, and Mr.Sreang Ly, Consul of Cambodia in Sa Kaeo.

Sa Kaeo Passport Office was established by the instruction of H.E. Mr. Srettha Thavisin, Prime Minister of Thailand, following a working visit to Sa Kaeo Province on 25 November 2023. The office was setup to facilitate passport application for Thai people in Sa Kaeo, many of whom travel frequently in and out of Cambodia via Ban Klong Luk Border Checkpoint in Aranyaprathet, which is an important gateway for border trade, as well as a key passage way for tourists, connecting with the city of Siem Reap in Cambodia.

On this occasion, H.E. the Foreign Minister inspected the Passport Office, and gave policy guidance, instructing the Office to work jointly with Sa Kaeo Province to improve the livelihood of the people. Stressing Foreign Policy as a Public Policy, the Office is to provide tangible services to the people, and to cooperate with various agencies of Sa Kaeo province to comprehensively promote good relations with Cambodia.

Sa Kaeo Passport Office is located at Aranyaprathet Bus Terminal Level 2, Indochina Shopping Center (Aranyaprathet). The Office opens on Monday – Friday (except official holidays) from 09.00 – 17.00 hrs. Passport applicants can book for service online via www.qpassport.in.th or walk-in to the Office during opening hours.
