On 9 December 2025, Mrs. Eksiri Pintaruchi, Permanent Secretary for Foreign Affairs, held a bilateral meeting with H.E. Ms. Chung Eui-hae, Deputy Minister for Political Affairs and Senior Official of the ROK, on the sidelines of the 22nd East Asia Forum to discuss ways to advance the ASEAN - ROK Comprehensive Strategic Partnership (CSP).

The ROK side commended the role of Thailand as the Country Coordinator of ASEAN - ROK Dialogue Relations (2024 - 2027) and expressed its readiness to host the 30th ASEAN - ROK Dialogue in the ROK next year. Both sides reaffirmed their commitments to working closely together to bring the CSP into fruition through the implementation of the new Plan of Action (2026 - 2030), including the ASEAN-Korea FTA (AKFTA) Upgrade Negotiations and the ASEAN Digital Economy Framework Agreement (DEFA). They also discussed issues of bilateral cooperation and exchanged views on regional developments.
