On 9 October 2025, Ms. Eksiri Pintaruchi, Permanent Secretary for Foreign Affairs, met with H.E. Ms. Le Thi Thu Hang, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam, during her visit to Thailand.

The meeting focused on strengthening the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between Thailand and Viet Nam and advancing cooperation in all dimensions, especially as the two countries will celebrate the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations in 2026. Both sides agreed to enhance bilateral cooperation, especially a regular exchange of high-level visits and to step up strategic cooperation to advance peace and development in the Mekong Subregion and ASEAN.

The Permanent Secretary also stated Thailand’s position to resolve Thailand - Cambodia situation peacefully through the full utilization of existing bilateral mechanisms.
