On 17 December 2025, Mrs. Eksiri Pintaruchi, Permanent Secretary for Foreign Affairs, had a discussion with H.E. Mr. Periyasamy Kumaran, Secretary (East) of the Ministry of External Affairs of India, on the sidelines of the International Conference on the Global Partnership against Online Scams, co-hosted by Thailand and United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) in Bangkok.

Both sides discussed cooperation in countering online scam-related crimes, assistance in the repatriation of Indian nationals from online crime centers located along Thailand’s neighboring borders, and the formulation of approaches to advancing the Thailand - India Strategic Partnership. They also exchanged views on removing trade barriers and promoting increased trade and investment value, as well as cooperation in the areas of defence, culture, and regional connectivity. The discussion covered cooperation in artificial intelligence and space, which would contribute to strengthening Thailand’s economy. The meeting also provided an opportunity for both sides to exchange views and for Thailand to clarify the facts regarding the Thailand - Cambodia border situation.
