On 28 October 2026, Mrs. Eksiri Pintaruchi, Permanent Secretary for Foreign Affairs, met with Ms. Chung Eui-hae, Deputy Minister for Political Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea (ROK), during the Deputy Minister’s visit to Thailand to co-chair the 14th Mekong - ROK Business Forum.

Both sides expressed their shared commitment to further strengthening Thailand - ROK relations in all dimensions, including through exchanges of high-level visits. The Permanent Secretary also reaffirmed Thailand’s readiness to work closely with the ROK as the ASEAN - ROK Country Coordinator for 2024 - 2027 and as Co-Chair of the Mekong – ROK Cooperation this year.
