          On 1 November 2021, H.E. General Prayut Chan-o-cha, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Thailand, sent a congratulatory message to
H.E. Mr. KISHIDA Fumio, Prime Minister of Japan, on the occasion of the successful outcome of the General Elections  on 31 October 2021 as follows:

“Excellency,

 

         On behalf of the Royal Thai Government and people of the Kingdom of Thailand, I have the honour to extend my sincere congratulations to Your Excellency and the Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) as well as the coalition party on the resounding victory in the general elections of the House of Representatives on 31October 2021. The successful outcome of the elections demonstrates a renewed strong mandate by the Japanese people for you and the ruling government to continue leading Japan forward in this challenging time.

         Thailand and Japan share a comprehensive and close Strategic Partnership. Moving forward, as our two countries mark the 135th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations in 2022, I wish to assure you of my firm commitment to working closely with you to further strengthen and bring this crucial partnership to a new height. I also look forward to having a telephone conversation with you at the earliest opportunity and to having the honour of welcoming you on an official visit to Thailand soon.
