  1. Foreign Minister’s upcoming missions abroad
  • Official Visit to South Korea: Minister of Foreign Affairs is scheduled to pay his first official visit to South Korea from 31 July to 2 August 2024 at the invitation of Minister of Foreign Affairs of South Korea.
  • Foreign Minister is scheduled to pay a courtesy call on H.E. Mr. Han Duck-soo, Prime Minister of South Korea, and hold a bilateral meeting with H.E. Mr. Cho Tae-yul, Minister of Foreign Affairs of South Korea, to enhance bilateral relations in all aspects, especially cooperation in future industries to boost economic growth. He will also meet with executives of South Korea’s leading conglomerates, as well as Thai government agencies in Seoul.
  • I will lead a delegation from the Information Department to accompany that of the Foreign Minister during his visit. The Information team will hold meetings with concerned agencies to strengthen Thailand-South Korea cooperation in cultural exchange and the soft power industry.
  • 15th Thailand-Malaysia JC and 6th JDS: Minister of Foreign Affiars is scheduled to visit Malaysia from 4 to 6 August 2024 to co-chair the 15th Session of the Joint Commission for Bilateral Cooperation (JC) and the 6th Ministerial Meeting of the Committee on Joint Development Strategy for Border Areas (JDS) between Thailand and Malaysia.
  • The two conferences will follow-up on the progress in Thailand-Malaysia cooperation and step up their efforts at all levels in areas of shared priority. Expected outcomes include an agreement to boost trade value towards 30 billion USD by 2027; lowered trade barriers; more counter-measures against human and drug trafficking, illegal crossings, and smuggling; “Six Countries, One Destination” tourism initiative; as well as increased cooperation in education and cultural exchange.
  • Foreign Minister is also scheduled to meet with Thai businesses and government agencies in Kuala Lumpur.
  1. SIDS Ambassadors and Permanent Representatives to UN to visit Thailand during 29 July - 2 August 2024
  • Ambassadors and Permanent Representatives of the Small Island Developing States (SIDS) to the United Nations in New York are scheduled to visit Thailand during 29 July – 2 August 2024 to strengthen cooperation with Thailand in sustainable development and human rights through the enhancement of “Friends of Thailand” network in the United Nations.
  • The highlights of the program include: study visits to Thailand’s various sustainable development and human rights projects in Bangkok and other provinces; a roundtable discussion to exchange views on human rights matters and a workshop to discuss ways forward for cooperation between Thailand and SIDS; and a courtesy call on H.E. Mr. Russ Jalichandra, Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs.
  • This visit presents a good opportunity for Thailand to share its vision and best practices on sustainable development and human rights.
  1. Caution alert for Thai nationals in Lebanon and Northern Israel
  • Regarding the recent Israeli military operation in Beirut, Lebanon, MFA wishes to warn Thai nationals living in Lebanon and Northern Israel to stay alert, be cautious, and closely monitor the developments of the situation.
