Regarding current attempts to sow divisions in Thai society through the circulation of inciteful content in social media, the Thai Government would like to reaffirm that it will use only official channels to communicate with the Cambodian Government.
Regarding heightened efforts to combat and suppress transnational crime, including call centers, online fraud and human trafficking, which several recent reports from international organizations, including the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) and Amnesty International (AI), have identified as a major threat in the subregion, Thailand also underscores the enormous damage these activities will cause at the global level, economically and socially. As such, Thailand is ready to play a leading role in these efforts and calls on the international community to cooperate with Thailand in suppressing transnational crime in our sub-region.
