1. Participation in the APEC Leaders’ Informal Dialogue with Guests

  • On the morning of 31 October 2025, the Prime Minister attended the APEC Leaders’ Informal Dialogue with Guests, where he exchanged views on the importance of promoting trade and investment, fostering innovation, and strengthening cooperation between the public and private sectors to promote economic resilience and growth amidst global uncertainties and volatility.
  • The Prime Minister reaffirmed Thailand’s commitment to enhancing collaboration with partners --- both within and beyond APEC, with the aim of building an open, connected, and resilient regional economy.

2. Participation in ABAC Dialogue with APEC Economic Leaders

  • During the ABAC Dialogue with APEC Economic Leaders, the Prime Minister highlighted the multi-faceted global challenges shared by all economies, including digital transformation, climate change, and demographic shifts. These challenges put to test the efficiency and resilience of APEC. The Prime Minister, therefore, urged all partners to work together proactively and creatively to address those hurdles.
  • The Prime Minister also highlighted Thailand’s key regional connectivity initiative --- the Land Bridge project --- which aims to create new trade routes, enhance business and employment opportunities, and drive economic growth.
  • Furthermore, the Prime Minister outlined the “Quick Big Win” policy to promote investment in future industries and high-potential sectors such as electric vehicles, semiconductors, biotechnology, and artificial intelligence (AI), alongside supporting women entrepreneurs and
start-ups working on sustainability. These initiatives align with the Bangkok Goals and the Environment, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles. He also reaffirmed Thailand’s aspiration to become a member of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) by 2030.
  • Altogether, these efforts underscore Thailand’s belief that, despite geopolitical and geo-economic uncertainties and the weakening of multilateralism, APEC remains capable of sustaining an open, inclusive, and fair market that fosters a sustainable and stable region --- one that leaves no one behind.

3. The Prime Minister’s Bilateral Meetings

  • On the sidelines of the APEC meetings, the Prime Minister held bilateral discussions with two leaders, namely His Majesty the Sultan of Brunei, and the President of the People’s Republic of China.
  • During the audience with the Sultan of Brunei, the Prime Minister reaffirmed Thailand’s readiness to enhance cooperation in trade and investment, human resource development, public health, food security, particularly the halal industry, and sustainable development. He also expressed appreciation for Brunei’s participation in the Interim Observer Team related to the Thai - Cambodian border situation.
  • Lastly, in his discussion with the President of the People’s Republic of China, the Prime Minister stressed the continuation and strengthening of bilateral relations, especially as Thailand and China celebrate the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations this year. Discussion covered cooperation in the areas of trade, investment, tourism, innovation, science and technology, and people-to-people ties, as well as progress on the Thailand - China Rail Project and joint efforts to combat online scam networks. The Prime Minister also welcomed the signing of the 3.0 ASEAN-China Free Trade Agreement (FTA), which focuses on future economy, digital economy, and green economy. Most importantly, he expressed appreciation to China for maintaining neutrality in the Thai - Cambodian border tensions.

  • Overall, Thailand’s participation reflects its forward-looking and constructive economic policies --- both within the APEC framework and through engagement with leading global businesses. This demonstrates Thailand’s vision as a reliable and capable partner committed to free and rules-based trade and investment, which will contribute to national economic development, improve the well-being of the Thai people, ensure stable incomes, and enable new-generation entrepreneurs to grow sustainably.
