On 18 October 2024, the Honourable Mr. Enrique A. Manalo, Secretary for Foreign Affairs of the Republic of the Philippines, will pay an official visit to Thailand and co-chair the 6th Joint Commission for Bilateral Cooperation (JCBC) between the Kingdom of Thailand and the Republic of the Philippines with H.E. Mr. Maris Sangiampongsa, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Thailand, at Shangri-La Hotel, Bangkok.

At the 6th JCBC meeting, both sides will review and follow up on overall cooperation and discuss future direction of bilateral relations between Thailand and the Philippines, for example, enhancing trade and investment, trade facilitation, food and energy security, as well as cooperation on combatting transnational crimes, defense industry, labour, and education. Both sides are also expected to exchange views on regional and international challenges of common concern.
