H.E. Mr. Bendito dos Santos Freitas, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation of the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste, is scheduled to pay an Official Visit to Thailand during 20 - 21 June 2024. A bilateral meeting between Minister of Foreign Affairs of Thailand and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation of the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste will be held to discuss a wide range of bilateral cooperation between the two countries, such as economic cooperation, development partnership, healthcare, education, and agriculture as well as supporting Timor-Leste’s effort to achieve full ASEAN membership status within 2025.

Both Ministers will also sign the Agreement between the Government of the Kingdom of Thailand and the Government of the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste on Visa Exemption for Tourism Purposes for Holders of Ordinary Passports, which will further promote tourism between the two countries.
