H.E. Miss Paetongtarn Shinawatra, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Thailand, will pay an Official Visit to Malaysia and will co-chair the 7th Annual Consultation on 16 December 2024 in Putrajaya, Malaysia, at the invitation of H.E. Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim, Prime Minister of Malaysia.

This will be the first Official Visit to Malaysia of Prime Minister Paetongtarn. During the visit, Prime Minister is scheduled to meet with Prime Minister of Malaysia and co-chair the 7th Annual Consultation.  She will be accompanied by several high-level representatives including H.E. Mr. Suriya Jungrungreangkit, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport, H.E. Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, H.E. Mr. Maris Sangiampongsa, Minister of Foreign Affairs, H.E. Mr. Sorawong Thienthong, Minister of Tourism and Sports, H.E. Mrs. Narumon Pinyosinwat, Minister of Agriculture and Cooperatives, and H.E. Miss Sudawan Wangsuphakijkosol, Minister of Culture.

This Official Visit to Malaysia of the Prime Minister will reaffirm the importance of Thai- Malaysian friendship and collaboration at all levels, which are vital to attaining concrete outcomes of bilateral cooperation, including border area development. Moreover, the 7th Annual Consultation will allow both sides to discuss ways to drive forward all aspects of bilateral cooperation, such as economic, trade, infrastructure and tourism connectivity, political and security, including the prevention of the transnational crime, and socio-cultural cooperation, as well as to strengthen regional and international cooperation, in order to achieve “Common Peace and Prosperity” of both countries and peoples.

Both Prime Ministers will also witness the exchanges of (1) Memorandum of Understanding between Malaysian Rubber Board and Rubber Authority of Thailand for Development of Rubber Industry and Economic Cooperation and (2) Memorandum of oUnderstanding between the Government of Malaysia and the Government of the Kingdom of Thailand on Co-operation in the field of Culture, Arts and Heritage. The Prime Minister of Malaysia will also host an Official Luncheon in honour of the Prime Minister of Thailand.
