On 19 March 2024, H.E. Mr. Parnpree Bahiddha-Nukara, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, welcomed H.E. Mr. Péter Szijjártó, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary, during his official visit to Thailand.

Both sides discussed cooperation in the electric vehicle industry, clean energy transition, defence, agriculture, education, as well as cooperation in international organizations and within the European Union, especially the support for the negotiations of Thailand-EU Free Trade Area, Thailand’s application for the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development’s (OECD) membership and the Schengen Visa waiver for holders of Thai ordinary passports.
