On 14 June 2024, H.E. Mr. Maris Sangiampongsa, Minister of Foreign Affairs, hosted a working luncheon in honour of H.E. Mr. Tobias Gotthardt, Secretary of State of Ministry of Economy, Regional Development and Energy of Bavaria.

Both sides discussed the Thai-German relations, especially with regards to Bavaria and the strong Thai-Bavarian economic relations. They focused on promotion of private sector-led economic relations and cooperation on energy and vocational training, including the setting up of a representative office of the State of Bavaria for ASEAN region in Thailand.

The Secretary of State of the Ministry of Economy, Regional Development and Energy of Bavaria, visited Thailand during 12-16 June 2024 with a delegation of executives from 15 Bavarian companies.
