On 11 October 2023, Mr. Asi Mamanee, Director-General of the Department of European Affairs, had a bilateral meeting with Mrs. Ulpiana Lama, Minister Counsellor and Charge d'Affaires a.i., Embassy of the Republic of Kosovo in Thailand. Both sides congratulated the 10th Anniversary of the establishment of Thailand- Kosovo’s diplomatic relations in 2023 as well as the cordial and dynamic relations between the two countries during the past decade. Furthermore, both sides discussed the promotion of bilateral cooperation in the areas of politics, trade, investment, culture and tourism as well as people-to-people connections.

On this occasion, both sides also signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on the Bilateral Consultations between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Thailand and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora of the Republic of Kosovo. The MoU will establish the first platform for bilateral cooperation and consultations between the two Ministries, which would help enhance the overall dynamism in the relations between Thailand and Kosovo into the future.
