On 5 April 2023, H.E. Mr. Vijavat Isarabhakdi, Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs, met with Ms. Michele J. Sison, Assistant Secretary of State for International Organization Affairs, the United States Department of State. The meeting was also attended by Ms. Amy Pope, Deputy Director General for Management and Reform of International Organization for Migration (IOM).
 
The two sides exchanged views on issues of mutual interests of Thailand and the US in various international organizations, including the issue of international migration and the promotion of cooperation between Thailand and IOM.
