Thailand led the ASEAN Vienna Committee to promote ASEAN awareness and exchange views on possible cooperation at Johannes Kepler University Linz

                On 26 July 2022, H.E. Ambassador Morakot Sriswasdi led the ASEAN Vienna Committee (AVC), which comprises Ambassadors and Permanent Representative as well as officials of ASEAN Member States in Vienna, to visit Johannes Kepler University in Linz (JKU). This visit is the Embassy’s initiative on  “The AVC road trip and outreach activity” to promote ASEAN awareness in Austria and exchange views on possible cooperation.

                 The AVC met and had a fruitful discussion with Univ.Prof. Dr. Stefan Koch, Vice Rector for Academic Affairs of JKU and participated in the ASEAN - European Academic University Network (ASEA-UNINET) Plenary Meeting which had 120 participants from both ASEAN and European academic institutes, including 17 executives  from universities in Thailand. H.E. Ambassador Morakot Sriswasdi also had the opportunity to meet and exchange views with  the executives of these universities on this occasion.
                 The Johannes Kepler University Linz is a renowned public institution of higher education in Austria. It offers bachelor's, master's, diploma and doctoral degrees in business, engineering, law, science, social sciences and medicine. JKU is the President of ASEA-UNINET since 2020 and the new President will be elected for a term of 18 months from a university in Southeast Asia region during the plenary session of this meeting. A network of universities consists of European and South-East Asian universities with the goal of promoting the cooperation in education and research.
