On November 2, 2023, Ms. Prangtip Kanchanahattakij, Chargé d'Affaires ad interim, together with Mr. Kittiphan Bangyikhan, Minister Counsellor (Industrial Affairs), attend a fashion show at the BUNKA Fashion Week, held at Bunka Fashion College, Tokyo to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the College. The event presented a showcase of Thai garments which were beautifully incorporated into two outfits in one of the students' collections displayed at the show.

On this occasion, CDA Prangtip had a discussion with Mrs. Lakshmi Srisompetch, the President of the Lanna Cultural Arts Association, who played a crucial role in initiating the project to incorporate Thai fabrics into the two outfits featured in the show. CDA Prangtip also met with Fuji Fujisaki sensei, the host and owner of the program "Doo Hai Roo" who had been covering the journey of Thai fabrics, from the production in the rural areas of Thailand to the process of designing and creating the outfits to be displayed at BUNKA Fashion Week in Tokyo.

In addition, the event included a booth showcasing the history and the origin of Thai fabrics and the live demonstration of traditional weaving techniques.
