On 8 August 2022, the Royal Thai Embassy, in collaboration with the ASEAN embassies in Israel, namely the Embassy of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, the Embassy of the Republic of the Philippines, and the Embassy of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam co-hosted an ASEAN Gathering at the Thai Ambassador’s residence in Herzliya Pituach to celebrate the 55th Anniversary of ASEAN. Mr. Rafael Harpaz, Deputy Director General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Israel was the guest of honour, and representatives of the Asia and Pacific Division of the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs also attended the gathering.

The event featured national noodle dishes from Thailand, Myanmar, the Philippines, and Vietnam, which reflect the unity and longlasting ties among the ASEAN member states, as well as our cordial friendship with Israel.
